Visional, Inc. and its consolidated subsidiaries (the "Group") will pay the utmost attention to the management of Personal Information acquired through the Group's business activities and will handle such information as set forth below.

1. Definition of Terms

The definition of Personal Information shall be in accordance with Article 2 of the "Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003)".

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Group collects Personal Information for the following purposes of use:
(1)Information obtained from customers who use the Group's various services and systems

  1. To authenticate and manage membership information for the Group's system, to provide administrative communications and various system functions
  2. To register for various services or systems provided by the Group, or to provide information to businesses or companies partnering with the Group
  3. To operate and manage seminars and various events offered by the Group
  4. To distribute e-mail newsletters and other information regarding the Group's systems
  5. To request surveys, send campaign information, send gifts, etc.
  6. To respond to inquiries and questions from customers
  7. To advertise, promote, or solicit sales of the Group's and third parties' products, etc.
  8. To provide information on services and seminars offered by the Group
  9. To perform maintenance of services provided by the Group

(2) Information acquired for marketing purposes

     The Group obtains Personal Information such as name, email address, company name and title from the contact persons of companies
     wishing to use or currently using the various services and systems offered by the Group for the following purposes:

  1. To disclose information within the various services and systems provided by the Group and for use of the various services and systems
  2. To manage information on companies that wish to use or are using the Group's services and systems
  3. To provide information on, to manage operations of, and to conduct public relations activities of events, seminars, etc. of the Group
  4. To provide information on, and to conduct public relations activities of, various services offered by the Group
  5. To distribute e-mail newsletters
  6. To request surveys
  7. To respond to inquiries

(3) Shareholder information

  1. To exercise rights and fulfill obligations under the Companies Act
  2. To provide various benefits from our group companies to the status of being a shareholder
  3. To implement various measures for shareholders to facilitate the relationship between shareholders and the Group
  4. To manage shareholder information, including the preparation of shareholder data in accordance with prescribed standards under various laws and regulations
  5. To guide, operate, and manage the Group's services and products, various events, and campaigns, and to provide various types of information, request surveys, and develop new services and products, etc.
  6. For management and internal administration of the Group
  7. To respond to inquiries, requests, etc.

(4) Information obtained at events and seminars

  1. To manage the operation of events or seminars
  2. To communicate and publicize events or seminars
  3. To distribute information concerning events, seminars, and other announcements

(5) Information obtained from employees and retirees

  1. To manage the employment and administration of the Group's employees
  2. For employee health management and to ensure the proper working environment of employees

(6) Information we receive from inquiries

  1. To manage information on business partners and those who wish to use the services provided by the Group
  2. To provide information on various services offered by the Group
  3. To respond to inquiries

3. Joint use of employees' personal information

The Group will share employee information among the Group’s companies as follows:

(1) Items of Personal Information to be jointly used
     All information about employees obtained by the Group

(2)Scope of joint use
     All companies in the Group
(3) Purposes of use by the companies who jointly use the information

  1. To manage the employees of the Group’s companies and to conduct business operations of such companies
  2. For employee health management and to ensure the proper working environment of employees
  3. To facilitate communication among the Group’s companies

     Obtained from the individual upon or after joining the Group's companies, or prepared by each of the Group companies after employment of the individual.

4. Voluntary nature of provision of Personal Information

The provision of Personal Information to the Group is voluntary: however, if an individual does not provide the required information, the Group may not be able to provide information about the Group’s services or respond to inquiries.

5. Provision of Personal Information

In principle, the Group will not provide Personal Information to third parties without the consent of the individual.

However, Personal Information may be provided without the consent of the individual in the following cases:

(1) When required by law
(2) When it is necessary for the protection of life, body, or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the individual
(3) When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person concerned
(4) When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, a local government, or an individual or entity entrusted by either a national agency or local government executing affairs prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual is likely to impede the execution of such affairs.

6. Disclaimer regarding provision of Personal Information to third parties

In the following cases, the Group shall not be liable for a third party obtaining Personal Information of an individual.

(1) When the individual reveals Personal Information to a third party such as a business, a recruiter, etc. by using the functions of various systems of the Group or other means.

(2) When a third party is able to identify an individual through information about the person's activities or information posted by the person regarding the use of the Group's various systems.

(3) When Personal Information is provided by an individual and used on an external site linked to from the Group's various systems.

(4) When information (ID, password, etc.) that can identify an individual is obtained by a person other than the individual.

(5) When there is no fault on part of the Group

7. Outsourcing of the Handling of Personal Information

In the course of business operations, the Group may outsource the handling of Personal Information to contractors. In such cases, the Group carefully selects contractors on the condition that they have established and implemented a management system capable of appropriately protect Personal Information. The Group require the contractors to appropriately manage the Personal Information by stipulating in contracts and other agreements the matters necessary to prevent the leakage of users' Personal Information through the appropriate management of Personal Information and the maintenance of confidentiality.

8. Creation of Pseudonym Processing Information

The Group may create pseudonymized information based on the information the Group has obtained and use it to improve the services provided by the Group and to develop new services.

9. Call log storage

The Group may keep records of telephone and other calls to verify the content of calls and to improve the quality of service.

10. Use of statistically processed data

The Group may create statistical data based on the Personal Information the Group collects that excludes specific correspondence with individuals. The Group may use the statistical data without any restriction.

11. Safety Management

(1)Organizational safety control measures

  • A person responsible for the handling of personal data has been appointed, and a contact point for reporting accidents, etc. has been established.
  • The Group creates personal data inventories and conducts internal audits for the handling of personal data.

(2)Personnel safety control measures

  • The Group provides training for all employees on the handling of personal data.
  • The Group has a memorandum of understanding with all employees regarding the handling of personal data.

(3)Physical safety control measures

  • Theft prevention measures and encryption are implemented for equipment and electronic media that handle personal data.
  • There are entry and exit restrictions for office rooms where personal data is handled.

  • The Group has implemented access control for personal data and established a system in which only the minimum necessary personnel have access to personal data.
  • A system is in place to protect information systems that handle personal data from unauthorized access.

(5) Understanding the external environment

     When storing personal data on cloud services located in foreign countries, the Group will implement security control measures
     after understanding the systems for the protection of Personal Information in such countries.

12. Identity Verification

When an individual wishing to use the services registers as a member, uses the Service, or requests disclosure, correction, deletion, or suspension of use of Personal Information, the Group confirm the identity of the user by means of personally identifiable information (name, telephone number, e-mail address, password, etc.). However, the Group will not be held responsible if anyone other than the individual concerned obtains and uses personally identifiable information.

13. Collection and Use of Information Related to an Individual

The Group uses cookies to protect the privacy of individuals, improve convenience, deliver advertisements, and obtain statistical data. In addition, the Group may use cookies, JavaScript, and other technologies to obtain information on the user's activity history (URLs accessed, contents, order of reference, etc.) within the site. However, the user’s activity history does not include any Personal Information.

Users can refuse to accept cookies by setting the browser to refuse cookies: however, some functions may be restricted when using the various systems.

The Group may use without limitation any non-personally identifiable information, such as attribute information and activity history, that it obtains.

This site uses the following information collection module to automatically collect user information for the purpose of analyzing site usage and measuring advertising effectiveness. The information collected will be managed in accordance with the privacy policy of the information collection module provider.

14. Procedures for responding to requests for disclosure, correction, suspension of use, etc.

With respect to requests of notification of purpose of use, disclosure, correction, addition or deletion of content, suspension of use, elimination, and suspension of provision to third parties of Personal Information ("Disclosure"), and with regards to the Personal Information in its possession, the Group will respond to such requests within reason as soon as reasonably possible after confirming the identity of the person making the request.
However, this shall not apply in cases where there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other interests of the person concerned or a third party, or where the Group judges that such action would seriously impede its business, or where such action would violate laws and regulations.

15. Changes to the "Group Privacy Policy" and "Handling of Personal Information

The Group reserves the right to change the "Group Privacy Policy" and "Handling of Personal Information" at its discretion to the extent that it does not violate the law.
